A Room of One's Own - Kensal Rise

Using Western Red Cedar as cladding, we designed and created a new first floor as well as a loft conversion in this family home in Kensal Rise, NW London. As part of the redesign, we created large square windows on both floors to bring the lush greens of the garden into the space, inviting painterly, countryside views in an otherwise urban setting. In the dual-aspect master bedroom, calming grey tones are off-set by both the bespoke birch plywood joinery and the Moroccan zellige tiles in the oak-in bathroom. Upstairs in the loft, enticing views, bespoke furniture and beautiful natural light bouncing in off the trees create the ideal space for children to retreat to.
